In the event that any
purchased product proved to be defective within the warranty period, Formosa will at its
option either replace or repair, at no charge, any such product, provided that:
- inspection by Formosa indicates that
the warranty claim is valid;
- the defect is not the result of an
event occurring after delivery;
- the product has not been altered in any
way;
- the product has been stored and
operated under its appropriate condition and environment;
- the product was originally purchased
from an authorized Formosa distributor, sales representative, or dealer within North
America.
- the product has been paid in full if payment is already due
- the customer pays one-way freight on
all warranty returns to the point where the defective product was purchased.
The customer shall pay
for repairs of products after the expiration of the warranty period. Formosa will specify
the amount after receipt and inspection of such product. In case of system repairs,
Formosa shall not be responsible for any loss or damage to installed software and/or data
in the storage device, such as hard drive and flash ROM, during the repair process.
This warranty
specifically excludes damage incurred in shipment to or from Formosa. Claims for such
damage should be filed with the carrier and not with Formosa.
In no event will
Formosa be liable for any damage, including any loss of computer, other expenses or
inconvenience, lost profits, or lost savings, other incidental or consequential damages
arising out of the use or inability to use this product or out of defects therein, or by
breach of this express warranty or any implied warranty with the respect to this product,
whether on account of negligence or otherwise, even if Formosa has been advised of the
possibility of such damages.
Return Merchandise
Authorization
In order to obtain
services or return on your equipment, an RMA number must be obtained from Formosa (by filing an RMA Request Form)
or from authorized dealer at which the product was purchased. Formosa or authorized dealer must then receive the product within 10
working days, with freight pre-paid.
Please return the defective product
with a copy of your original Invoice and a detail description of the problem. Please make
sure to clearly mark the RMA number on all enclosed documents.
For merchandise returns for exchange, credit, or refund, RMA must be notified within 21 days from invoice
date, and the merchandise must be in orginial unmodified condition and have orginial packaging, manuals, and all original accessory items.
A minimum 20% restocking charge will be assessed if the merchandise is returned incomplete or beyond the deadline. FORMOSA RESERVES THE RIGHT TO
DECLINE ANY MERCHANDISE RETURNS FOR EXCHANGE, CREDIT, OR REFUND IF THE MERCHANDISE IS RETURNED INCOMPLETE, MODIFIED OR BEYOND 60 DAYS FROM INVOICE DATE.
No credit, refund, or exchange will be accepted for CPU, memory, and storage devices (such as HDD, FDD, etc.).
